With an estimated 80% of home buyers starting their search on the Internet, photos are to home sales today what curb appeal used to be: the place where first impressions are made... According to a National Assn. of Realtors survey of the Web features that buyers found "very useful," 83% mentioned photos, 81% liked detailed property information and 60% named virtual tours... Every day, decisions about which homes to see — and which to skip — are made based on what a buyer sees online.

“Good photos will grab people’s attention and help you sell a home,” said Jacky Teplitzky, an executive vice president of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate in New York. “Bad pictures will absolutely give you trouble, because you won’t have any calls on it, and nobody will come to see it.”
In many cases, it is the agents themselves who are snapping the pictures and posting them on the agency Web site. Because of this, it is important that sellers choosing an agent know who will take and pay for the pictures and whether a professional photographer is available. –NY Times 2/11/07
Nathan has spent the majority of his life behind a camera at a number of venues. Having attended the former Portland School of Art in high school, and later the Maine Photographic Workshops, his exposure to the fine art side of photography happened early on. Shortly after high school Nate combined his photographic skills with his first passion, motorsports, when he was asked to become the track photographer at a couple of regional racetracks. From there he started to criss-cross the eastern US photographing national events in support of the touring race teams while having his work published in multiple nationwide publications. Fast forward to 2006 when his fiancee, a real estate agent, asked him to photograph a high-end property listing for her. When the property sold in a few days based on the photo package, a need was identified and a solution put in place shortly thereafter.
